परम प्रवेगा सी-डैक (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), पुणे द्वारा निर्मित एक सुपरकंप्यूटर है |राष्ट्रीय सुपरकम्प्यूटिंग मिशन (National Supercomputing Mission) के अंतर्गत 3 फरवरी, 2022 को भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान (IISc), बेंगलुरू द्वारा इसे लांच किया गया था |
इस सुपर कंप्यूटर की क्षमता 3.3 पेटाफ्लॉप है | परम प्रवेगा देश के सबसे शक्तिशाली सुपर कंप्यूटरों में से एक है और भारतीय शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में स्थापित सुपर कंप्यूटरों में सबसे बड़ा है | मेक इन इंडिया पहल के अनुरूप सी-डैक द्वारा विकसित एक स्वदेशी सॉफ्टवेयर स्टैक के साथ, इसको बनाने में उपयोग किये जाने वाले अधिकांश घटकों का निर्माण और असेंबल (संयोजन) भारत में ही किया गया है।
1 पेटाफ्लॉप एक क्वाड्रिलियन या 1015 ऑपरेशन प्रति सेकेंड के बराबर होता है| भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान (IISc) बेंगलुरू के पास एक और सुपरकंप्यूटर ‘सहस्र टी’ (Sahasra T) पहले से ही है। राष्ट्रीय सुपरकम्प्यूटिंग मिशन (NSM) को विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग (DST) एवं इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से संचालित किया जाता है तथा C-DAC और IISc द्वारा कार्यान्वित किया जाता है।
भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान (IISc) में स्थापित परम प्रवेगा प्रणाली विषय नोड्स का मिश्रण है, जिसमें CPU नोड्स के लिए Intel Xean Cassade Lake प्रोसेसर और GPU नोड्स पर NVIDIA Tesla V10 कार्ड शामिल हैं। हार्डवेयर में एक ATOS BullSeqana XH2000 श्रृंखला प्रणाली शामिल है, 3.3 जिसमें पेटाफ्लॉप्स की व्यापक शिखर गणना शक्ति है ।
