A cloud is a large network of remote servers that are only accessible through the internet. Unlike the internet, which is a giant global network of connections, there are many clouds around the world.
These clouds are usually (wrongly) treated as a single entity, so when we say something is “above the clouds”, we actually mean “above the clouds”.
This does not mean that the cloud is insecure.
Many cloud services use top-flight security experts who work day and night to protect their servers and continually improve their security measures.
Cloud servers are more secure than your computer will ever be.
