Guru Tegh Bahadur was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India. He was born on April 21, 1621, and his parents named him Tyaga Mal.
Guru Tegh Bahadur is regarded as the ninth among the ten Gurus who laid the foundation of Sikhism and was the leader of Sikhs from 1665 until he was beheaded in 1675.
Guru Tegh Bahadur was the youngest son of the sixth Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib.In the year 1633, Guru Tegh Bahadur married Gujari.
The couple soon moved to Bakala, a small village, where Tegh Bahadur would spend a lot of his time praying and contemplating.
Guru Tegh Bahadur is trained in swordsmanship, martial arts, archery and horse riding.Although he was able to master the art and was able to fight alongside his father in different battles, he chose the path of meditation and renunciation (the spiritual path). Guru Tegh Bahadur also composed 115 poems in the Guru Granth Sahib text.
