The title “Ranga’s Marriage” is appropriate as the narrator does not want to give his story a fancy title. The whole story revolves around finding a husband for Ranga.
While Ranga does not seem interested in marriage, the narrator is determined to get him married.
The term “marriage” is better suited to describe the relationship Ranga had in the village where he stayed because the villagers there did not know English.
The author didn’t much care for the language. However, Ranga was the first person from the village to leave the village to learn English.
